Signing Out

....just for a few weeks. I have a little too much on my plate at the moment.

We have a birthday to celebrate, friends to visit, a family camp for 40 that my husband and I are organising and then some house guests are coming to stay. But what is really pre-occupying me at the moment is that this precious little person is probably having some yucky tests in hospital next week.

Not much room for any creative thought at the moment.

But I will be back with some photos of both Edward and the girls bedrooms which I have recently redecorated. And probably some birthday snaps too.

Enjoy the upcoming holidays to all of those of you with children, living in the Southern Hemisphere.

Illusions

Thank you so much for all of the laundry love that I received after my five things I love post. I do feel a little guilty though that I have been misleading you all. Let me get one thing straight, my laundry doesn't look like that all of the time. Actually, not often at all!

In fact I have received a few comments along the journey of this blog which imply what a wonderfully tidy house I must keep. I wish.

I think it all stems back to my styling days when I was working as a Product Manager for Patons. In the beginning I would often do the styling for the photoshoots. As a result, I just can't bear to take a photo now without all the little background details being just so. So, when you see that lovely photo of my wall, do NOT think that the whole house looks like that! In fact these days, with three children, I really can't seem to get it all tidy at one time....I might get the bedrooms looking schmick but aghhh the laundry or vice versa.

So, to prevent myself being labelled a fraud, here is the usual state of my laundry. Right now, I am in the midst of making a bucket load of stock for this market. I hope I have disappointed you all but rather just made you smile.

Note: it does get worse than this

Bow Shopping

This Thursday night I will be selling my wares at a market night for our local kindergarten.

Markets aren't usually my thing but Ella and Kate have a bit of a following in our neighbourhood and I thought it might be worth while.

So, if you live in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and want some bows, as well as other goodies, come and visit.

MAKING ENVELOPES

There is another party coming up in this house. Last night I made these sweet little invitations.

Loving my new corner cutting tool. Watch out, if you're a piece of paper in our house, I would be shaking in my boots.

And a special little 'envelope'.

I used this pattern as my base which I found via How About Orange but I made a few changes.

All girls love a little bag.
